Honors Diplomas

Honors courses offer a core curriculum that provides greater depth of subject matter and may include assignments that require more independent work effort. Students must obtain a teacher recommendation to enroll in these classes, and they frequently carry prerequisite courses.

Honor level courses prepare students for admission to competitive colleges, and are weighted by a factor of .5 (one-half point).
