We are partnering with the Florida Conference of SDA in their new standardized testing initiative, the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Test. FLA students in grades 9-11 will take the MAP test in the following dates:
Classroom teachers will proctor the MAP tests to determine your student's instructional level and measure academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year in the areas of English and Math. Students will be tested in their classrooms by their own English & Math teachers during their corresponding class periods using their IPADs.
MAP tests are computer adaptive - they adjust to the appropriate level of your child's learning. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing. Using the MAP test, we can administer shorter tests and use less class time while still receiving detailed, accurate information about your student's academic growth. You will receive a report of your student's progress after the battery of three tests has been completed.
We are truly excited to begin a new era that focuses on every student's individual growth and achievement.
All Seniors will take the SAT together during a school day. The test will be on October 13, 2021. Students will be automatically registered for this special FLA SAT School Day, no need to register with the College Board. Seniors will be charged the $52 testing fee in their financial account unless they are a Step-Up Scholar.
