Academics at FLA

The academic program at Forest Lake Academy is focused on the intentional provision of opportunities for students to use their minds well. In honor of our school's mission, our primary goal is to foster curricula designs that are academically rigorous and student-centered.

In addition to general high school curriculum, FLA offers a number of honors-level and dual enrollment classes in conjunction with Advent Health University and Union College.

FLA OFFERS A VARIETY OF DIPLOMA TYPES

General Diploma

Requires 24 credits and a minimum GPA of 2.00.

College Prep Diploma

Requires 24 credits and a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Honors Diploma

Honors Courses required a 3.67 – 3.75 subject GPA and instructor's recommendation.

INNOVATION LAB

The Florida Conference Innovation Lab at Forest Lake Academy provides high school students the space, equipment and mentoring to inspire and nurture discovery, Through real-time critical thinking and trial-and-error activities, students learn to research and design solutions to real world problems.

Fast Track your Career! Forest Lake Academy has partnered with ADU to bring our students an opportunity to earn college credit for classes taken while enrolled at FLA. Subjects include English, Math, and Science (Medicine).
