About The Schmidt Auditorium

The Schmidt Auditorium was built in 1968. It is named in honor of H.H. Schmidt, a prominent pastor in the late 1950's, but most importantly father, grandfather and friend to many at FLA. During that time, plans were in place to modernize our campus with brick buildings, air conditioning and the development of a performing arts center. H.H. Schmidt pushed for the fundraising program that paid for the original Schmidt Auditorium and other improvements on our campus. His family's presence has been in support of FLA for decades, with three generations graduating from FLA. We are grateful for his passion, and we ask you join us as we seek to refresh the facility for further generations to enjoy.
