Tom Tavasci
I teach band and orchestra at FLA. It's a passion of mine that started during my years as a student and band member at an Adventist Academy. In fact, it was my academy director's encouraging words and his confidence in me that set my path to become an academy music teacher.
Since then I've had the privilege of sharing my passion for majestic music with many students. It's thrilling to help them develop their God-given gift of musical expression and see them light up when we perform in churches and schools.
I'm a product of Adventist education and would not trade it for anything. My goal is to pass on the values, skills and vision that many wonderful teachers passionately shared with me. Coming to the FLA campus each day gives me that opportunity. I am deeply grateful for the students and staff God has put in my life.
